My name is Brian Larson and I want to thank you for visiting my page! As an Operation Iraqi Freedom veteran with the US Army, I'm proud to be a part of Carry the Load again this Memorial Day.
Carry The Load's mission is to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. We have marched in this event as a family, and it is an amazing opportunity to get out as a community and honor the fallen. Our son has marched on a broken foot and my dad has camped overnight for the full march!
Memorial Day will always be an important day for our family. From my time in the Army, we carry the memories of brothers and sisters lost in Iraq and Afghanistan. Every man or woman pictured above is a personal connection - a friend from school, a member of my battalion in Iraq, or someone I helped lay to rest in Arlington National Cemetery. Our son is named after 2 of the men pictured. I march in their memory, and ask you to contribute any way you can to the great causes Carry the Load supports - giving much needed assistance to those who have sacrificed so much and deserve our gratitude. Honor their memory with your support, and help Carry the Load restore the true meaning of Memorial Day!
