The Krodle's Carry the Load Page
Once again, our family is participating in Carry The Load this Memorial Day Weekend. We are excited that The Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle Memorial Foundation has again been chosen as a nonprofit-partner for Carry the Load! The great news in that is that every dollar raised by someone on a Krodle Foundation Team member will go back to the Krodle Foundation which further allows us to help Dallas Firefighters and their families.
Theressa, Kason, Adelaide, Todd William and I will walk in memory of my brother, Lt. Todd Wesley Krodle of the Dallas FIre Department. Todd was an 18-year member of the DFD and the officer on engine 26C in West Oak Cliff. On Sunday, August 14, 2011, Todd was fighting a 2-alarm apartment fire in west Dallas when the roof that he was attempting to ventilate collapsed, trapping Todd for several minutes in the attic of the 2-story structure. After being resued by his crew, along with other crews from 6 district, he was transported to Parkland Hospital where he would die from his injuries. We strive to honor Todd and his Savior, carry on his legacy, and ensure that his life and the way he lived are never forgotten.
