As a veteran of the US Air Force, the US Navy Reserves and a member of the Dallas Police Department, this event is close to my heart.  Carry the Load contributes to our Assist the Officer organization, which helps officers in need. 

Carry The Load's mission is to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. I plan to remember, honor, and celebrate our nation's horoes by participating in the event and raising funds to support organizations which help heroes and their families. 

Carry The Load also provides active ways to honor the countless military, law enforcement, firefighters and rescue personnel who dedicate their lives to keeping our country safe.

On this day, we will carry the load for our military and first responders.
