Molly and I, along with Tripp, Elle, Hayes, Hawkens and Hudson are participating in Carry The Load again this year. By supporting me, you are joining in the mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day. Carry The Load connects Americans to the sacrifices of our military, veterans, first responders and their families. 

As some of you know, I struggled after leaving the Navy.  I did not anticipate this struggle and certainly did not think that the “transition” from military service to a civilian career would be difficult.  It was not until I helped co-found Carry The Load that I realized continuing to serve in some capacity was an integral part of my transition. Carry The Load gave me that opportunity and has been a blessing for me and my family.

Whatever your plans this Memorial Day weekend, take some time to reflect on those who have given the ultimate sacrifice on your behalf.
