My fellow great Americans,
America is not free. We all love heroes and the greatest heroes are those men and women who protect us and care for us out of a selflessness that few can truly relate to. It is the spirit within such people that make them fight for the freedoms that, perhaps, most of us take for granted.
Every year Team Grayson thinks of different ways to help CTL and, in turn, honor our military and first responder heroes. This year we will be honoring Michael Murphy, a Navy SEAL hero KIA in 2005. For his actions, he was posthumously awarded the Congressional Medal of Honor, the absolute highest honor any military personnel can garner. A work out called The Murph is widely considered one of the toughest to complete. It requires a 1-mile run, followed by 100 pull-ups, then 200 push-ups, followed by 300 body squats, and finishing with another 1-mile run. (Only the toughest survive!) Team Grayson has decided to place its own personal spin on it: Instead of the bookend 1-mile runs, we will perform 7-mile runs/walks before and after the pull-ups, push-ups, and squats! It will take place during the CTL Memorial weekend event in Dallas on Sunday, May 24th through Monday, May 25th down at Reverchon Park and the Katy Trail. We welcome all to come out and join in this challenge!
And if you can't make it, PLEASE tell your friends/family, join Team Grayson, and donate generously!
Thank you and God bless you and God Bless the United States of America!
In great appreciation and your friend,
PS: Check out the song I co-wrote called "Carry The Load" performed by Wyatt Easterling. You can find it on Spotify, iTunes, youtube, etc....
