Private Leonard Rock enlisted in the U.S. Army and was assigned to the 4th Infantry Division, 22nd Infantry Regiment, Company “G,” during World War II. He was a replacement due to heavy casualties at the Battle of Hurtgen Forest, and his MOS was “Rifleman”.

Monday, December 18, 1944, Private Rock’s unit had two combat interactions. He was “Lightly Wounded in Action” this day in his right arm and passed as a result on Wednesday, December 20th.

Leonard is missed to this day by his family. He was one of countless young men who answered the call for their country and ended up making the ultimate sacrifice.
