Master Chief Mark Philip Crampton served as a SEAL in the U.S. Navy for 27 years. He deployed numerous times to Southwest and Southeast Asia, Iraq, and Afghanistan, earning two Bronze Star Medals, one with Combat “V.” After retiring, Crampton served ten years as an Instructor in the Naval Special Warfare community. He died by suicide.
Mark enjoyed spending time deep sea fishing on his boat, hunting, riding his Harley, reading, working out, and traveling across the country in his 5th wheel. He deeply loved his family and his country.
Mark had so many positive character traits; honesty, integrity, humility, service-hearted, and team focused. He was a great leader, loyal friend, inspiring mentor, and a loving father, grandfather and husband. He lit up the room when he walked in. His smile and southern drawl were infectious. He had a love for adventure and a zest for life.
