First Lieutenant Brandon James Landrum began his service to country in high school by joining the National Guard and then serving in the U.S. Army in 2007. Landrum served with distinction on several tours of duty until he was killed in Maiwand District, Afghanistan in 2013. During his service, he earned numerous awards including the Bronze Star Medal and Purple Heart.
Brandon Landrum was a man of God, beloved son, devoted husband and father, and faithful friend to all who knew him. He demonstrated leadership skills early at The First Assembly of God in Lawton, where he was heavily involved in Youth Leadership. Brandon left a huge imprint on others through his service which came from his strong faith, his testimony, his trust, his loyalty, and his mischief.
Brandon was a brave man, honorable soldier, and an incredibly hard worker. He was larger than life to all who knew him. He loved his country and all his military brothers and was proud to be an American Soldier who also loved God with his whole being. His legacy was being a bold Christian who lead people to Christ through his actions.
