About Dominic M. Francis

Officer Dominic Francis spent 19 years following his love for law enforcement, first serving with the Hancock Sheriff’s Department as an explorer and dispatcher. He later served as a patrol officer for Findlay Police Department. He found his final home and family with the Bluffton Police Department. With a passion for helping youth, Dom served as the strength and conditioning coach, substitute teacher, and bus driver at Cory-Rawson local schools. Dom loved his community and never met a stranger. “Dom was bigger than life with a heart even larger. He was a mentor and peacemaker both on the job and in our personal life. Dom touched so many lives. Our children, and many youths were blessed to have such a kindhearted loving role model. We are all better people from having him in our lives,” recalled his wife, Ricki Francis.
