About Kenny Rojas

Private First Class Kenny D. Rojas was serving in the U.S. Army during Operation Iraqi Freedom, assigned to the 2nd Battalion, 7th Infantry Regiment, 1st Brigade, 3rd Infantry Division, Fort Stewart, Georgia. He was killed when his unit was conducting a combat patrol and a landmine exploded near his Humvee near Bayji, Iraq.

“Uncle Kenny was funny, kind, a talented musician, and an amazing cook. This freedom isn’t free. For some of us it cost everything,” recalled his nephew, Jordan Rojas.
