About Dwayne N. Freeto

Officer Dwayne Freeto was a U.S. Army veteran. He had served with the Fort Worth Police Department for only nine months when he was killed when his patrol car was struck from behind while he was assisting a motorist with a flat tire. The patrol car burst into flames upon impact, trapping him inside. Dwayne was a loving father and husband who married the love of his life. He was a present and caring father who adored his two girls. Dwayne was proud to be a Fort Worth police officer and felt called of God to serve the citizens of that city. He had a great personality and was very humorous. Linda Freeto of Midlothian said her son was, “an amazing young man, and a best friend to his brother, Chuck.”
