About Rudolph "Rudy" Maldonado

Rudy Maldonado served as a Private First Class in the United States Army, 34th Infantry Regiment, 24th Infantry Division. He was Killed in Action in Taejon, South Korea. Rudy was kind, a friend to many, hardworking and extremely brave. He was dearly loved by his entire family, especially his seven siblings. Rudy wanted to be like his older brother, Pete, and follow in his footsteps, so he volunteered to serve in the Army. In turn, his four younger brothers wanted to be like their brother, Rudy, and they served in the Navy, Marines, Army and Air Force. Rudy’s family is extremely proud of him and his sacrifice is remembered by all of his numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
