Chicago's WGN 9 talked with Stephen Holley and Mark Elliott about the meaning and mission of Carry The Load, as well as how people can become involved during the relay.

"So we've got five different national relay legs that are ongoing right now throughout the month of may," said Carry The Load President and Co-founder Stephen Holley. "They will cumulatively cover about 20,000 miles in 48 different states. And so people can look online, they can figure out mile-by-mile where those relays are going to be."

Hunt County to help “Carry The Load” on Memorial Day

Approaching the 10th anniversary, a series of long walks across the United States in support of America’s veterans keeps growing larger, and once again, the event will observed in Hunt County.

It is the eighth year Carry The Load has come through Greenville on its way to its final destination in Dallas. The event was conducted virtually in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

March honoring military, first responders walking through Roseville

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (KTXL) — A march honoring military members and first responders kicked off from Maidu Regional Park Tuesday morning.

“Basically what we’re trying to do is we’re trying to make sure that any law enforcement, firefighters or military person that has lost their life in service to their country or community, that we’re not forgetting those people,” Carry The Load West Coast Relay Team Manager David Lindsey said.
