Non-profit continues Patriots Day tradition by cleaning military graves at Cave Hill Cemetery

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – Simple ingredients like soap, water, and a brush make the difference in honoring brave men and women who fought, and continue to fight, for our freedom.

The non-profit Carry the Load is once again cleaning grave markers of military members across the nation this Patriots Day.

Today, that effort was in full swing at Cave Hill Cemetery in Louisville.

When you ask US Navy SEAL veteran Steven Holly about Patriots Day and the 24th anniversary of 9/11, his emotions are tough to hide.
