Approaching the 10th anniversary, a series of long walks across the United States in support of America’s veterans keeps growing larger, and once again, the event will observed in Hunt County.

It is the eighth year Carry The Load has come through Greenville on its way to its final destination in Dallas. The event was conducted virtually in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

ROSEVILLE, Calif. (KTXL) — A march honoring military members and first responders kicked off from Maidu Regional Park Tuesday morning.

Roseville, CA — Carry The Load's relay passes through Roseville on it's journey through California. One veteran in particular is honoring the memory of Roseville native, Sgt. Nicole Gee, during this time.

Eagle Point, Ore. — Carry The Load marchers passed through Medford at approximately 2:30 pm on Sunday.

“It’s just a way for us to remember these veterans and these families, because you know a lot of times we think about the loved ones that we’ve lost but we don’t think about those families,” said David Lindsey. Read the full story HERE.

Eagle Point -- Today people from the non-profit, Carry the Load, made their third stop in Eagle Point to honor those who have fallen while out on active duty.

David Lindsey is the West Coast Relay Manager and a retired firefighter, he says it’s great to see people honoring their loved ones and restoring the true meaning of Memorial Day.

“The last three days we’ve been able to meet with five different gold star families and a lot of times they tell us how much they appreciate what we’re doing but it’s the other way around we appreciate what they’re doing,” says Lindsey.
