SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WWLP) – Carry the Load, a non-profit, is honoring military heroes and first responders through a relay as part of their mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day.

SPRINGFIELD, MA. (WGGB/WSHM) - A national walk to remember fallen soldiers while supporting their families made its way through Springfield on Tuesday.

Today it has become a nationwide movement this year there are supporters in 50 states and 29 countries. I spoke to one of them today who also is participating in the relay."

FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — Carry the Load is a national relay that honors our veterans and first responders.

LA CROSSE (WKBT) -- For 12 years, Carry the Load has traveled across the United States as a way of saying thank you. In 2011, Navy veterans Clint Bruce and Steve Holley wanted to restore Memorial Day.

CONCORD, N.H. — Memorial Day is coming up on May 29, and a national nonprofit organization called Carry the Load wants to make sure everyone remembers the true meaning of the day.

FRISCO, Texas — For a dozen years, Carry The Load has asked this question - whose memory are you carrying? And, do you honor Memorial Day for its true purpose: remembering those who gave their all?

The non-profit group founded in 2011 by two Navy SEALS starts with a 20-hour walk around a park in Dallas. It now spans 20,000 miles and 48 states.
