This nonprofit helps veterans Carry The Load
Founded by a pair of veteran U.S. Navy SEALs, Clint Bruce and Stephen Holley, Carry The Load started with a mission to restore the true meaning of Memorial Day after an experience Bruce had back on Memorial Day of 2010.
“It came on the heels of losing some good friends of ours,” explained Holley of the nonprofit’s founding a decade ago. Read more, HERE.

5 D-FW veterans organizations making a difference
According to the latest data from the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), more than 450,000 veterans live in the North Texas region, out of more than 1.5 million across the state of Texas. Too often, government media-resources fall short of what many of these men and women need to live fulfilling lives after serving their country. Therefore, it’s up to local and national organizations to provide a safety net for thousands of veterans in the areas of health care, education, hunger, homelessness, employment and mental health. Frisco’s Annual Community Parade to be Held November 13; Honors Veterans, Showcases School Spirit
The word on the street is ‘Everyone loves a parade’ – especially when it celebrates community and school spirit while honoring Veterans.
The annual Frisco Community Parade will march through downtown this Saturday, November 13, 2021. Beginning at 10 a.m., parade participants will leave Toyota Stadium, marching east on Main Street before finishing at North County Road.

Veterans Day 2018: 40 Years of Gratitude and Giving Back
In May, more than 60 Samsung employees participated in the annual Carry the Load National Relay to honor fallen U.S. veterans and first responders and to support their families through fundraising. Team Samsung reached the goal of raising $15,000 for Carry the Load, which partners with nonprofit organizations to provide care for military veterans, law enforcement, firefighters, first responders and their families to honor the sacrifices made by America’s heroes.
