Assigned to the 422nd Civil Affairs Battalion, U.S. Army Reserve. Killed in an ambush while on patrol in Murcheh, Afghanistan. Ben had 2 priorities – to be the leader his men needed, and to improve lives, wherever he served. We remember him as a lover of peace and a pursuer of peace. Survived by his parents Laura and Gary Sklaver, brother Sam Sklaver and sister Annie Ornstein.
