Brian Lee Preston enlisted in the U.S. Navy in 1982. He died in the service of his country working as an Aviation Machinist’s Mate onthe flightdeck while attached to Attack Squadron VA-52 (Knight Riders) out of Naval Air Station Whidbey Island, which was embarked onboard the aircraft carrier USS Carl Vinson (CVN-70) on operations in the Pacific Ocean.

Brian was born September 18, 1964, in Coldwater, Michigan. He graduated from Quincy High School in 1982, where he was an active member of the high school band. On February 14, 1986, he married the former Dawn Dunn, just six weeks before his untimely death.

He is forever remembered by his father and stepmother, Lee and Patricia Preston; his mother, Judy Preston; his brother, Scott; and his stepsisters, Jennifer and Stephanie.
