Staff Sergeant Juan M. Solorio joined the military in 1993 as an 11 Bravo. Served with 25th Light Infantry from Hawaii, attained his Air Assault Badge. Then he attended Airborne School in Fort Bennning which led him to the 82nd Airborne 2/505PIR. After September 11, 2001, he was chosen to help start up the newly formed Stryker Bridgades in Fort Lewis, Washington. He was a designated marksmen instructor for the 25th Infantry Division SBCT. During the Iraq Invasion, he joined the scout platoon were he later lost his life during a gun fight in Mosul Iraq.

“My Dad’s motto was ‘Do it once, do it right.’ You don’t want to have to come back and do it over again,” recalled his son. Juan lived his life to the fullest. If there was a new adventure to have, he would do it and always included his family.
